    FATHER’S DAY / MEN’S DAY Fellowship Service

    11:00 AM

UPGRADE: What does it mean to Upgrade? It is the process of IMPROVING something by replacing it with a newer, high-quality version or by adding NEW or MORE ADVANCED components. Ask yourself, "Can I stand for an Upgrade?" The older version of ME is not as fast as it used to be. The older version of ME is not as sharp as it used to be. WHAT NEEDS TO BE UPGRADED? IS IT MY... - prayer life - effective communication - paying better attention to my family - expressing my concerns, desires, and emotions - controlling my anger If any of these questions you ask yourself are answered with "YES", YOU CAN STAND FOR AN UPGRADE!!!

On Sunday, June 21st at 11:00 a.m., you are invited to UMBC, where our Men That Matter Ministry will present their FATHER'S DAY / MEN'S DAY FELLOWSHIP SERVICE. The theme: "A Godly Man...The Upgrade"; Scripture reference: 2 Corinthians 5:17. Our guest speaker will be Pastor Ikeem Graham of Shoulder's Branch Missionary Baptist Church from Castle Hayne, NC.

    DEACON MINISTRY HOMELESS OUTREACH

UMBC’s DEACON MINISTRY’S HOMELESS OUTREACH serves to meeting immediate needs by distributing vital supplies such as meals, clothing, and toiletries, to survive on the streets. We build trust and relationships by creating a safe, non-judgmental environment showing compassion to those who feel neglected by society. We spread Spiritual connection by sharing the gospel, offering prayer, and providing spiritual material to help those seeking hope and we mobilize the congregation to volunteer, which builds fellowship, humility, and active empathy within the church body itself. Acts:20:35 states “It is more blessed to give than to receive”. We are planning our 4th Annual Homeless Outreach and need your help. A BLESSING BOX will be stationed in the Lobby beginning June 7th - July 5th. We are asking you to place in it, items you want to give. Suggested items: Socks, toiletries (deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, travel tissues, feminine care, wet wipes), snacks, and bottled water. We will distribute these items on Saturday, July 11th. You’re invited to serve with us. A meeting time on July 11th will be announced soon.

    11:00 am

There will be no Children’s Church on May 17th and May 31st.We want to give our dedicated teachers the opportunity to hear our pastoral candidates. We look forward to welcoming all of our children into the main sanctuary for family worship on those Sundays.

Children are one of God’s greatest blessings. It’s Important to help them grow in faith. Therefore, we are thrilled to announce our Children's Church! We cater to young minds to teach children important life lessons that will help them grow into healthy, responsible adults while teaching children about their Best Friend and Savior– Jesus! If you're a family with children ages 4 and up, this might be something you want to check out!

Thank you to our volunteers who make this possible. You are greatly appreciated, and we want to acknowledge and encourage you that serving in this area releases parents to be able to focus on the service and enjoy time together - so thank you!
