We are so excited to announce that we are preparing to celebrate our PASTOR & 1ST LADY DR. CATHERINE NIXON’S 47TH PASTORAL ANNIVERSARY. We thank God for blessing us with such humble servants. They have been a part of our lives and a part of this community. We invite you to celebrate with us as we look forward to a spirit filled worship celebration on SUNDAY, AUGUST 11TH @ 11:00 AM. Let us shower them with cards, gifts, love and appreciation showing them we appreciate the service they unselfishly give. With summer here, most children are excited to have finished up the school year. But at UMBC, we’re already thinking about the new school year! We anticipate that the 2024-25 school year will be challenging for families already living paycheck to paycheck, leaving little left for items like essential school supplies. Therefore, UMBC is having “A BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE” through August 18th. A storage bin has been placed in the Lobby for you to place items in. Our Back-to-Supply give-away aims to relieve the financial burden for parents. (See enclosed flyer below).

ABUNDANT PORTIONS FOOD DISTRIBUTION is held the 2nd & 3rd Friday of each month. The next scheduled Fridays are July 12th & 19th from 4pm-6pm. If you know of someone in need, please inform them of this opportunity. We seek volunteers to help set up, distribute, and clean up. Children are one of God’s greatest blessings. It’s Important to help them grow in faith. Therefore, we are thrilled to announce that our Children's Church is back! We cater to young minds to teach children important life lessons that will help them grow into healthy, responsible adults while teaching children about their Best Friend and Savior– Jesus! If you're a family with children ages 4 and up, this might be something you want to check out!

Thank you to our volunteers that make this possible. You are greatly appreciated and we want to acknowledge and encourage you that serving in this area releases parents to be able to focus on the service and enjoy time together - so thank you! Again, CHILDREN’S CHURCH will be held EACH 3rd, 4th, & 5th SUNDAY for AGES 4 AND UP.

Marriage is God’s creation. It’s a gift and a picture of His love for His followers. Union’s COUPLES MINISTRY is designed to help you grow closer to God and to each other. We will meet here on Saturday, July 27th @ 9:30 am in the Conference Room. All couples are invited to attend. Feel free to bring a guest.

Union’s WORSHIP SERVICE is now live streamed on the UMBC Facebook page and on Facebook Live. Please let members and friends that are not able to attend service know that they can watch service each Sunday beginning at 11 am.

UMBC has an Afterschool Program for ages 5 to12. The hours of operation are 7:00AM-10:00PM. Hours will vary depending on scheduled out of school days. Breakfast, lunch & and pm snacks will be served. If you (non-member as well as member) need transportation to and from Sunday School and Worship Service, UMBC’S TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY will provide this service to you.
